چکیده

Abstract Dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) is an important method in the long term transportation planning and management processes. However, most existing system optimum dynamic (SO-DTA), no side constraints are used to describe link capacities a network which shared by multiple vehicle types. Our motivation based on possibility for (DSO) have solutions, differ where queues formed dissipated network. To this end, paper proposes novel DSO formulation multi-class DTA problem containing both human driven automated vehicles single origin-destination networks. The proposed uses concept of approach develop model that equally distributes total physical over links while considering explicitly variations capacity backward wave speeds due class proportions. In model, formulated as optimization linear composition representing dynamics capacities. Numerical examples set up provide some insights into effects queue distribution well travel times.

Towards Cooperative Motion Planning for Automated Vehicles in Mixed Traffic

While motion planning techniques for automated vehicles in a reactive and anticipatory manner are already widely presented, approaches to cooperative motion planning are still remaining. In this paper, we present an approach to enhance common motion planning algorithms, that allows for cooperation with human-driven vehicles. Unlike previous approaches, we integrate the prediction of other traff...

System optimum dynamic traffic assignment graphical solution method for a congested freeway and one destination

This paper studies the system optimum dynamic traffic assignment in a network consisting of a hypothetical surface street grid and a congested freeway section. Vehicles can be diverted through off-ramps, and onramps can be metered. The family of solutions are identified graphically using Newell s queueing diagrams. Because enforcing diversion is still a technological puzzle, these results provi...

Optimal Allocation of Electric Vehicles' Parking Lots in Distribution System Considering Urban Traffic

Abstract: Parking lots for electric vehicles (EVs) can make good utilization of the EVschr('39') battery capacity due to the large number of EVs. However, the location and size of parking lots will affect the distribution network condition. In this paper, a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model is proposed for locating and determining the optimal capacity of EVschr('39') parking lots co...

A Mixed Integer Linear Program for the Single Destination System Optimum Dynamic Traffic Assignment Problem with Physical Queue

In order to solve the system optimum dynamic traffic assignment problem, the whole link model with physical queue is used to formulate the single destination system optimum dynamic traffic assignment problem as a mixed linear program. A relationship between the cumulative curves and the wave speed presented by Newell (1993) is used to present a dynamic network model in considering spillback que...
